Blog 8 Castle Caldwell & The Ulster American Folk Park

Hello...Is this thing on? Sorry, it has been a while and Several adventures to catch up with. Let's see if I remember what happened. Oct 11th the Castle Caldwell walk, such a sunny lovely day bar getting a fish hook stuck in my shoe & Tracey getting cut several times trying to get it out! The walk was pleasant & for once nicely marked out unlike some we had been to. We walked to the pier & then done the full loop around the Castle itself before heading back to the car.

On the way home we decided to book tickets to the Folk Park as we had finished early & still had the full day ahead, so headed home for lunch before making our way there. Covid & Social distancing made it a weird visit with the guides wearing masks as well as their costumes but they made the tour so welcoming as always, I even got some lovely fudge from the Sweetie shop! The Folk Park had to close shortly after due to another lockdown so I was glad to get a visit beforehand & I would recommend it to anyone local or afar, no matter how many times I go, I always notice something different or get a different shot.

The walk around it is also a pleasant walk & usually well maintained unless the weather gets to it first. just a short blog to get back into the swing of things, plenty more to come until I catch up on the past ten adventures at least.
